Spaces That Transform: Design, Health & Emotions
Smiles Through Art was invited to Puebla, Mexico to give a Conference and an Arts in health workshop in “Spaces that Transform: Design, Health, Emotions and Arts in Education”.
The Project consisted in two parts: The Conference and the Art Project.
The Project: “Maracas” made from guaje and calabazas was a combination of music and art, were traditions and culture combine, we used a traditional Mexican instrument that was used in precolombian cultures and indian’s communities in the past in California, representing the connection between the body and the spiritual world, we listen to music that uses the maracas and words of maracas as an inspiration to create the artwork.
