Arts in Education:
Smiles Through Art Partnered with Mexico City School.

Smiles Through Art partnered with the Academy School by Papus and Musikuentos in Mexico City, creating in an arts in education program.

We created an art project based on a book story by Musikuentos about a caterpillar that turns into a monarch butterfly.

Each year the monarch butterflies travel from Canada through the United States, arriving at Michoacan, Mexico. The monarch butterflies will almost duplicate their population in 2025, occupying 4.42 hectares.

School children from ages 3 to 12 years old with special needs painted watercolor butterflies made of paper, and created a system where its wings move when they press a special clip.
Children were inspired by the story and by the meaning of the metamorphosis creating change, imagination and following their dreams.

Smiles Through Art creates art education programs in schools that stimulate the children’s minds, improving mental health and self esteem.

Together, we’re building healthier environments for children!
